One Victory at a Time: Meet Adreienne​

​When Adreienne applied for help from Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, she was hoping to complete her naturalization process after her husband was jailed for abusing her. We accepted her case and helped her complete the immigration process using the Violence Against Women Act, allowing her to self-petition for permanent resident status. Our attorney later attended Adreienne’s swearing-in ceremony, where she received her Naturalization Certificate. A home health nurse who helps others every day, Adreienne is now a U.S. citizen who can continue to pursue her American dream as she raises her two children.
