Ways to Support Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas

Your gift can impact the future of someone in need of legal representation who might otherwise not have the means. You can prevent homelessness by curtailing evictions. Shelter someone from domestic violence and help them to secure child custody rights to protect their children. Help someone to secure much needed benefits for their disability.

Gifts of Appreciated Assets
Consider giving stock instead of cash. Giving appreciated stock or other assets held more than one year can eliminate the capital gains tax on that item. One advantageous strategy can be to donate a favorite appreciated stock and repurchase the same stock to increase its future cost basis, while still avoiding the capital gains consequence on the current shares, and supporting charity.

Monthly Giving
Setting up a credit card gift for a monthly donation can be an easy way to make an impactful contribution. Your on-going support will make a difference throughout the year. To set up a gift go to: https://legalaidnwt.org/

Gifts of Life Insurance
If you have a paid-up policy that is no longer needed, you can donate it to charity. You can irrevocably designate Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas as the owner and beneficiary of your policy which may entitle you to a charitable income tax deduction.
