2022 Women's Advocacy Awards

Our Honorees for 2020 and 2022 (L to R):  A. Shonn Brown (2020 Business Leader), Amy Yeager (Representing Children's Health, 2020 NonProfit Leader), Ellen Magnis (2022 NonProfit Leader), Priya Aiyar (2022 Louise Raggio Women's Legal Advocate), Lisa Havens (2022 Business Leader), and Harriet Miers (2020 Louise Raggio Women's Legal Advocate, also accepting the 2020 Champion of Justice Award on behalf of The Texas Supreme Court).
The 2022 Women's Advocacy Awards, held June 14 at The Arts District Mansion, was attended by 230 friends and supporters who helped us raise $182,854, a new record for the annual event.  This was WAA's 22nd year and was its first in-person celebration since 2019. Emcee Morgan Young did a superb job as did our many program speakers and award recipients.  A highlight of the evening was our special guest and honoree, Harriet Miers, a leading light for many women in the legal profession during her long and distinguished career. Harriet blazed the trail for other women who  followed her, serving as the first female Dallas Bar Association president and the first female State Bar of Texas president.
