75 Years of Advancing Justice—And Looking Ahead

As Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas celebrates 75 years of service, we are reminded that access to justice is not simply a principle—it is a lifeline for thousands of individuals and families across our 114-county service area.

For generations, Legal Aid has stood alongside Texans facing some of life’s most difficult challenges—protecting survivors of domestic violence, preserving housing for vulnerable families, securing benefits for seniors and veterans, and ensuring that justice is not determined by income. This work is made possible through the dedication of our staff, the commitment of our pro bono partners, and the generosity of supporters who believe that equal access to justice strengthens our communities.

Today, the need for civil legal aid continues to grow. Families are navigating economic uncertainty, housing instability, and increasingly complex legal systems. In response, Legal Aid is not only meeting these challenges—we are evolving to meet them more effectively. Through innovative solutions like the Legal Aid Express, expanded outreach efforts, and strategic partnerships across North and West Texas, we are bringing services directly to those who need them most.

Our 75th Anniversary is both a celebration and a call to action. It is an opportunity to reflect on the impact we have made together, while also looking ahead to the work that remains. With your continued support, we will strengthen our reach, deepen our impact, and ensure that access to justice remains a reality—not a privilege—for all Texans.
