Client-Centered Program
Focuses on Sexual Assault Survivors

The Legal Aid for Survivors of Sexual Assault (LASSA), a Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas (Legal Aid) program, is part of a statewide initiative providing survivors of sexual assault and sexual violence with free legal help. The LASSA team consists of attorneys, social workers, and staff who provide services throughout our 114-county service area. While Legal Aid has consistently served survivors of sexual assault through it various programs, LASSA focuses exclusively on sexual assault survivors.

Legal Aid has extensive experience working with survivors of crime and sexual assault in a holistic, culturally sensitive, and client-centered manner, and has a broad network of community partnerships with local community agencies that provide services to victims of sexual assault. Our collaborations include cross-agency referrals, training of staff, and community education events. Clients are given several options to use when applying for services, including an online intake portal, our toll-free Legal Aid Line, at their local office, at clinics, and through referral from our community partners and area social service agencies.
